Charles “Mr. Zip” Reinhardt opened Zip Cleaners in May 1967. When looking for a company name the post office was petitioning customers to use zip codes. A good friend suggested that Reinhardt call his business Zip Cleaners and he put the logo on his two trucks. People had trouble pronouncing Reinhardt so he started answering the phones as Mr. Zip and the rest is history!
Zip Cleaners is the largest laundry and dry cleaning operation in Central Texas and the only locally-owned uniform and linen retail operation in Central Texas.
